today is my birthday and probably tonight I will get drunk.but i wanna quit
@janelois6 You are telling yourself a story. Weed and drink is not the only thing that can make it go away. I understand you don’t want the feelings of being raped. What feelings do you want instead?
everyx i stop smoking and drinking the visions and feelings of being raped over power me and it is only the weed and drink that make it go away – any suggestions?
your a great speaker man, you should do more videos..
i am 24 years old i drink around 40 oz of rum every 2-3 days i belive even worse then the rum is the 4-8 cans of coke a day mixed with the rum..i havnt thrown up,fell down or had a hangover in 2 years and have been drinking daily for 3 years now although i dont drink tell i lose composure i still am worried about my future for alcholisim runs in my family..could you tell me how your drinking started and progressed?
@BorderLandMan1 To begin, ask yourself what is more important to you than being influenced by this person you are living with. Once you have decided what’s more important, look for ways to develop, reinforce or build upon that belief.
I cant believe how right you were. It all makes sense to me because i only start feeling bad when i say, “no alcohol tonight,” and i end up not being able to trust myself at all. That is the worse part. I end up hating my self, A LOT. Anyway my question is if you live with someone and you only drink when around them how do you not let them influence you? (btw nice background)
I am trying to quit on my own.I came up with a plan to step down from my average 8-10 beers a night to 6 then to 4 and so on.How long should i stay at each step?keep in mind ive been drinking for 21yrs and always drank more on weekends.
and another thing, i want to be more social . i am really good at drinking and im an expert at pushing people away and alienating people. i can be totally cool with you but if the mood strikes me, i will push you away real fast. i dont know why it is like that. i could give excuses, but i think it is a defense mechanism. anyway;, i know no one is reading this , so . well, at least if felt good to type it out
i drink 3 nights a week and i drink till i pass out. i dont drink on work nights, it is reall easy not to drink, but on days off: gulp gulp gulp gulp…. you get the picture. does anyone have some advice??
Its hard to quit drinking but i need to i always regret things after drinking………

Think less about how NOT TO talk to an alcoholic, and think more about how TO talk to this person that you care about. Your words of encouragement are more helpful than to them than your fears, so focus more on what you CAN say that will make the person feel better about their self.?
what kind of tips/advices would you give to family and friends of those who are alcoholics? How not to talk, would be good tip.
I got esophagus cancer from drinking alcohol. Can’t cure it. I have six months to live and I’m forty-two years old.
i feel ya man i have been drinking since i was 16 and am now 19 and drink consistently 3 days a week in college and my grades/relationships have failed because of it and it is not what i want and what i want in life and throughout life i have followed my friends being in the “popular” crowd and im sick of being controlled under it but its hard because i feel like the only fun i have is when im drinking
